UK prices for the Ford Mach-E revealed

The all-electric offering from the American automaker is slated to hit British by the end of this year.

The standard range of the Mach-E will start at £40,270 ($49,532) for the rear wheel drive model. This model will be powered by a 76kWh battery. Producing 254 bhp, this model has a range of 280 miles. An extended range model of this is also available for £9,370 ($11,525) packing a 99kWh battery. It produces a power output of 281 bhp and has a range of 370 miles. The price of the above models being less than the £50,000 threshold, they qualify for a £3,000 government plug-in grant.

The all-wheel drive model is priced starting at £46,750 ($57,503). The 76kWh battery in this spec offers a range of nearly 260 miles. The extended range all wheel drive model will be priced at £56,950 ($70,049). It will produce close to 332 bhp and pack in a range of 335 miles.

The Ford Mach-E can be reserved with a deposit of £1,000 ($1,230). When launched, the Ford Mach-E will go up against the Tesla Model Y in various markets. A more powerful GT version of Ford's new EV is expected to follow at a later stage.
