Lime has paused its services due to COVID-19 virus in a few select markets.

Info

The company will begin winding down and pausing its service to reflect public health guidance in markets such as Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and United States.

Lime continues to closely monitor developments around the world and remains in coordination with health and regulatory authorities in more than 25 countries. The markets that will remain open include Abu Dhabi in United Arab Emirates, Brisbane, Sydney in Australia, Busan, Seoul in South Korea, Christchurch, Dunedin, Hamilton and Selwyn District in New Zealand, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and Santiago in Chile.

The company is enhancing its cleaning methods and increasing the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting scooters. It is also cleaning all parts of the scooter that are touched by people and are only using products recommended by the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on the Centre for Biocide Chemistries list that have been approved by the EPA for use against the coronavirus.

In Lime's offices and warehouses, the company is distributing hand sanitizer. All of the mechanics and operators in the field are required to wear gloves and wash their hands regularly.

The company is following the CDC, the World Health Organization (WHO), federal agencies, and other global health organisations to collect the most up-to-the-minute information to ensure the actions they are taking are comprehensive and expedient. Based on this information, the company will decide to continue, pause, or suspend operations in certain markets.
