VOI Technology becomes the first scooter company to make its operations emission-free in Paris

News

VOI Technology announced that Paris has become the first city where the company has achieved zero emission city operations.

Info

This has been done by exclusively using e-vans and e-cargo bikes for collection and deployment of scooters and charging both the scooter and service fleet with 100% renewable electricity, provided by Enercoop, a cooperative of small local green electricity producers.

VOI is the first scooter operator in Paris to achieve zero emissions and go beyond carbon neutrality through core practices, rather than buying carbon offsets to compensate for emissions. Green daily operations significantly reduce the environmental impact of e-scooter sharing, enabling cities reduce CO2 emissions and deliver on their climate targets in a measurable way.

“We are happy to set a new standard for sustainable scooter sharing, marking a key milestone in our commitment to have carbon neutral operations in all cities by the end of 2020. Zero emission operations in several European cities will follow shortly,” the company said in a social media post.
