Info

Magment is based in Munich metro area and focuses on the development, design and manufacture of wireless power transfer infrastructure based on magnetisable concretes used for innovative, competitive and customer-oriented electromagnetic solutions. The company's main applications are inductive components and dynamic wireless transmission for EVs, an essential technology for autonomous driving. They use mainly recycled magnetic materials as aggregates in our concretes making them highly competitive.

The company has a range of vertically integrated casted components and subassemblies at industrial scale for a high efficient power transmission, compliant with the upcoming global standard as defined by SAE J29547 and IEC 61980-3. The partnership between EDAG and Magment will focus on the development and integration of wireless charging products using innovative magnetic materials for Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) applications in a hybrid sustainable way. Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) are a key enabling technology for connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs), with our partnership we will drive the industry to better meet current and future safety, security and connectivity standards across all regions of the transportation industry.

EDAG shall be Magment' general developer and engineering service provider for wireless charging solutions using their transmitter ground assembly products such as MAGPAD and solutions widening its portfolio with the ultimate goal to produce fully integrated wireless charging infrastructure for wider mobility solutions; these include stationary and dynamic systems for a variety of vehicles such as forklifts, scooters, cars and buses to be deployed in Germany, Finland, UK, and China.

Magment CEO and Co-Founder, Mauricio Esguerra commented: “We are proud to team up with a dynamic and renowned group which brings the competence, power and resources - especially in the automotive sector which will allow both of us to expand and improve the offering together on the market.”

EDAG UK Managing Director, Javier Rodrίguez, said: “This stimulating collaboration with Magment, combines the latest magnetisable concrete technology and world class engineering to provide holistic wireless charging solutions for the global mobility needs. To meet the challenges of ever-increasing complexity, risk and scale in our smart and connected world we shall continue to innovate safe, reliable and connected solutions.”
