Firmly believing in a common vision of the future of this sector and motivated by the many potential synergies between their activities, the two companies decided to join forces, through the creation of a JV to supply advanced Li-ion batteries. St@rtec Developpement is one of the leading specialists in high- tech Li-ion batteries with a strong experience in both production and sales, and Exoes specialises in thermal management technology and know-how. Together, they created e-Mersiv in order to offer a unique and original offer and to benefit from a competitive advantage in the market.

As electric vehicles are one of the key solutions to sustainably reduce CO2 emissions and meet future regulations across the globe, e-Mersiv technology promises to be one of the most efficient solutions for high-performance batteries. Its key benefits are both in terms of recharge time and increased safety. Its lifespan is promising under difficult operating conditions and high customer demands. The main challenges in the development of these batteries, using existing cells, reside in its thermal management (Exoes specialty) as well as in BMS (Battery Management System, the heart of the battery, St@rtec specialty).

Thomas Debuisser, CEO of St@rtec Developpement, said, “I am proud of this cooperation with Exoes. Our group will be able to provide the best performing products in the market, thus contributing to the energy transition.”

Arnaud Desrentes, CEO of Exoes, said, “This cooperation offers as many synergies as possible. This joint venture is intended to minimise the duration and costs of development. In the end, it will greatly impact the field of electric vehicles.”

Thomas Debuisser and Arnaud Desrentes added, “The user experience of electric vehicles needs to be improved, and this is a great opportunity. CO2 regulations will accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in all types of vehicles. Exoes and St@rtec Development are very proud to be part of those who will contribute to these changes. ”
