Asia Electric and DrivAMP merge to form new EV charging solutions provider, BrightBlu

Asia Electric, an electric vehicle charging solutions company and DrivAMP, a smart charging technology provider, have announced the merger of their business operations.

The merged entity will now operate under the new brand BrightBlu.

With the merger, the company will be able to achieve significant business synergies through vertical integration. BrightBlu will offer an integrated suite of hardware solutions, cloud services and support for electric vehicle drivers as well as the owners of charging stations.

Commenting on this merger & launch of this new entity, Wybren Van Der Vaart, Co-Founder & CEO, BrightBlu said, “We are very happy to announce the merger of Asia Electric and DrivAMP. This new partnership, in the fast-moving electric mobility market in India will enables us to optimise our product and service offerings. BrightBlu will offer customers better, faster and ultimately more cost-effective solutions for their charging needs which are designed and developed in India.”

Asia Electric, founded in 2014, offers intelligent charging solutions for electric vehicles and has been working with several Indian OEMs and grid operators to supply charging solutions for the Indian market. Asia Electric was furthermore part of a public private partnership with the Dutch government to transfer technology and knowledge in the field of electric mobility.

DrivAMP has been active since 2016 and has developed technologies in-house that are required for smart charging of electric vehicles. DrivAMP supplied the technology to hardware manufacturers and charge-point operators in India.
