The two companies have formed Tropos Motors Europe GmbH, to be based in Germany. A factory site to build Tropos Motors eCUVs has been selected near Dortmund. An initial order has been placed, and Tropos Motors Europe has plans to produce thousands of vehicles over the next five years for Europe and other global markets.

“We see increasing sales potential for all-electric compact utility vehicles in Europe,” said Dr. Jörg Mosolf, CEO of MOSOLF Group. “Governments, cities, and businesses across the continent are seeking sustainable zero-emissions transportation solutions, and Tropos Motors' low-speed compact utility vehicles are capable, reliable and dependable for applications including corporate, fleet, first-responder, agriculture, last-mile delivery, and construction applications.”

Tropos Technologies, based in Silicon Valley, develops and manufactures eCUVs and trucks under the Tropos brand and until now has primarily focused on United States market.

“We are having terrific success in the US satisfying fleets with our all-electric ABLE product line,” said John Bautista, Founder and CEO of Tropos Motors. “Now European customers will get a chance to take advantage of compact vehicles that are capable of handling large payloads and towing capacities and can operate in extremely tight areas with a short wheelbase and turning radius. Our eCUVs offer the highest level of utility and maneuverability in a compact, zero-emissions package that customers around the world will love.”
