Plugsurfing and Kia partner to offer EV charging solutions across Europe

The cooperation between Plugsurfing and Kia Motors Netherlands is providing a Europe-wide solution for all Kia electric vehicle drivers.
Using the Kia Public Charging Solution App or RFID Charging Key, customers in the Netherlands will be able to access the largest charging point network in Europe, powered by Plugsurfing. Customers will also gain access to convenient home and office charging through the programme.
Streamlined access to 47,500+ charging points in the Netherlands as well as the 110,000+ charging points spanning Europe will allow users to remove range anxiety from their electric driving experience. Of these charging points, over 900 are fast chargers.
“Our goal is to make electric cars affordable and practical for customers by providing a full charging solution,” said Jacob van Zonneveld, CEO and Co-Founder at Plugsurfing. “We are happy to partner with Kia in the Netherlands, because it will strengthen our efforts to innovate and make clean transport accessible to drivers.”
Search filters and pricing overviews for charging points are additional features that make the charging experience familiar, accessible and worry-free for the EV driver. Payment is flexible, with the choice between pay-as-you-go pricing or subscribing to the exclusive charging service. This subscription offers customers the option to charge in the Netherlands for a €9,99 ($11.11) monthly fee that offers a fixed competitive rate per kWh.
“This partnership is enabling Kia to make use of an accessible, all-in-one charging solution. This will provide Kia e-model owners The Power to Surprise. Kia is offering more than just a product,” said Tim den Besten, EV Brand Manager at Kia Motors Netherlands.
Customers will receive their Kia charging key at the dealership with each e- Niro model.
