Boosted focusses on last-mile transportation with its electric scooter, Boosted Rev

Boosted, a leading light electric vehicle company providing fast and simple transportation for everyone, announced the introduction of its first electric scooter: Boosted Rev, available now for preorder.

The latest member of the Boosted product family is a true marriage of iconic design and high performance with vehicle-grade safety and durability.

Boosted has reimagined the electric scooter from a blank sheet and custom-designed every component from the ground-up, incorporating Boosted's proprietary powertrain technology and premium design to deliver an exceptional vehicle that is unique in its class.

“We've been focused on micromobility since introducing the category-defining Boosted board in 2012, and are still laser-focussed on it today,” said Boosted CEO, Jeff Russakow. “With rising consumer demand for eco-friendly transportation and a greater awareness around the benefits of light electric vehicles, Boosted's years of experience and superior technology give us an unparalleled advantage to deliver the gold standard of electric scooters. There's a second mobile revolution in the making—one that will touch billions of people—and we're excited to be part of it.”

Boosted Rev delivers signature Boosted performance with a powerful dual-wheel drive and proprietary powertrain, offering instant acceleration and confidence-inspiring electric braking. It features a top speed of 24 mph, and is the only electric scooter capable of climbing and descending 25% grade hills with ease. And with 22 miles of range, it's designed to get there and back on a single charge.

The simple, intuitive Throttle Wheel allows for one-handed acceleration and braking with the roll of thumb. Plus, its LED display and custom-designed folding mechanism make the scooter a breeze to operate and tuck away when the user gets to the destination.

Boosted Rev is the only scooter on the market with truly powerful and effective electric brakes, giving best-in-class power and responsive control. The distinctive frame geometry, ergonomic handlebars, and wide custom-designed tyres makes Boosted Rev remarkably stable so you feel confident and safe no matter what lies ahead.

Boosted Rev is built with high-quality materials and advanced manufacturing techniques to achieve the vehicle-grade durability required to go for thousands of miles, over many years. Building on our reputation for safety, the company put the scooters through rigorous mechanical, electrical, and environmental tests that greatly exceed industry standards for light electric vehicles. A team of professional riders test them in real-life, extreme conditions.

“It's hard not to love Boosted Rev. It's incredibly high performing, beautifully designed, and just super fun to ride,” said Boosted Co-Founder and CTO, John Ulmen. “So many people want to get in on the Boosted experience, and Boosted Rev unlocks that opportunity for a massive new group of aspiring riders. I'm excited to share it with the world.”

Boosted has been on a journey to bring its vision of light electric vehicles and last mile transportation to the world. The new scooter form factor marks a major expansion in the company's mission to reinvent transportation to be fun, fast, and simple for everyone.

Boosted Rev retails for $1,599 and will begin shipping in summer.
