Quanergy names Gary Saunders as Chief Revenue Officer

Quanergy Systems, Inc., a leading provider of LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) sensors and smart sensing solutions, announced the appointment of Gary Saunders as the company’s Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).

Saunders brings over three decades of experience to Quanergy after leading global sales and business development teams in the semiconductor industry. As CRO, he will lead business development, sales, field applications engineering, and customer service to drive revenue and increase market share for Quanergy.

Saunders comes to Quanergy at a pivotal moment in the evolution of the LiDAR industry. As the competitive landscape continues to grow, Quanergy remains one of the few companies creating true solid-state LiDAR sensors. Saunders' expertise will bring a fresh perspective to Quanergy's business development as it explores the many applications for LiDAR technology across industries including autonomous vehicles, security, industrial automation and 3D mapping.

Before joining Quanergy, Saunders led worldwide sales at TowerJazz and also held leadership positions at Cypress Semiconductor Corp., Spansion Inc., Fairchild Semiconductor International and National Semiconductor Corp. He has a strong focus on customer satisfaction as well as extensive experience developing go-to-market strategies in automotive, IoT, cloud data centre and industrial sectors, which has resulted in securing hundreds of millions of dollars in new business for his previous companies.
