innogy to supply charging infrastructure to Skidata Italia
innogy charging points will soon enable electric vehicles to recharge their batteries in Italian parking buildings, equipped by market leader in parking facility management, Skidata Italia. The company has recently opted to install innogy charging infrastructure for their e-mobility product offerings in Italy.
Skidata produces and manages the access and billing systems of parking buildings and public facilities and plans to install 300 AC charging points in Italian parking buildings next year alone.
innogy partner Power Station, a subsidiary of Unico Energia, has already been working with innogy on the Italian market since the middle of the year. The new customer Skidata Italia now represents a milestone in this cooperation, in which innogy supplies the technology and Power Station provides the additional services needed by Skidata Italia.
“Electric car drivers in Italy will soon be able to plug into innogy charging points to recharge their cars in many parking buildings. I am proud that we are now the technology partner for infrastructure to Skidata Italia. We have been experiencing strong demand for electric mobility from the Italian market,” said Martin Herrmann, COO Retail of innogy SE.
The charging points in parking buildings will be linked to innogy eMobility software eOperate to offer operations, maintenance and customer service. The software will be connected via API to Skidata Italia's billing system to allow customers to pay for their charging and parking immediately at the self-service pay station.
