ParkMobile expands service in the Los Angeles area
People in Westwood Village will see new ParkMobile stickers on all 468 single space parking meters in the area. To pay for parking using the ParkMobile app, a user simply enters the zone number posted on the sticker, chooses the duration and touches the "start parking" button. ParkMobile will send alerts when the parking session is about to expire so a user can extend time right from the app.
ParkMobile continues to expand its presence in the Los Angeles area. The service is currently available in several locations around the city, including Hollywood, Downtown and on the campuses of UCLA, USC, and Loyola Marymount University. ParkMobile also offers event parking reservations for the Los Angeles Memorial Colosseum and the Greek Theater.
"We are always looking for innovative ways to improve the parking experience in Los Angeles," said Ken Husting, LADOT Principal Transportation Engineer. "This program with ParkMobile gives people an easy way to pay so they can skip the meter and instead pay with their phone."
"We are excited to expand our presence in the Los Angeles area," said Jon Ziglar, CEO of ParkMobile. "We already have a large and growing base of ParkMobile users in the city. This expansion into Westwood gives those people smarter parking options as they drive around town."
