Efficient Drivetrains, Inc. (EDI), a company working towards high-efficiency zero emissions plug-in hybrid and electric vehicle drivetrain solutions, announced the significant expansion of its global patent portfolio, demonstrating the company's strong commitment to innovation and technology leadership.

The United States Patent and Trademark Office has issued two new patents, US 9914361, Vehicle with AC-to-DC inverter system for vehicle-to-grid power integration, and US 9849869, Systems and methods for implementing dynamic operating modes and control policies for hybrid electric vehicle. Corresponding China applications are also in progress.

The Efficient Drivetrains owns patents and IP related to the hybrid and electric vehicle industry. Covering a spectrum of technologies including: vehicle-to-grid power integration, vehicle controls software, exportable power, and unique powertrain architectures, these recent patent grants further strengthen the international IP position for EDI. The company has patents issued in the United States, Europe, and Asia.

The company's recent patents are related to AC power export, V2G applications, Vehicle controls, and unique Powertrain architectures and configurations. EDI has confirmed its intent to continue to actively pursue and strengthen its intellectual property position with several patent applications related to powertrains, vehicle controls, and exportable power having been filed and pending.
