Jon McNeill joins Lyft as Chief Operating Officer

Lyft has announced that former Tesla employee Jon McNeill will be joining the company as Chief Operating Officer.

McNeill is a world-class leader who brings deep experience as a highly successful entrepreneur and game-changing transportation executive. Last year, the Lyft community experienced more growth than in all previous years combined, growing rides by 2.3x and increasing market share by more than 50%. McNeill will build upon this momentum with his unique background of starting companies from scratch and managing at scale.

Prior to joining Lyft, McNeill led all customer-facing operations for Tesla, as the President of Global Sales & Service. During his time at Tesla, sales more than doubled, customer satisfaction increased to record levels, and his organisation scaled to over 10,000 people across 32 countries. While scaling, McNeill's teams also changed the auto industry by innovating mobile services as well as the in-store and digital sales experience. McNeill has also successfully started and run eight technology and retail companies that included the first national chain of automotive collision centers as well as multiple insurance related businesses. McNeill began his career at Bain & Company and is a graduate of Northwestern University.
